This had to be on of the best High Tea packages I have ever had! The Price was so reasonable and the amount/quality of food we got was amazing (our favorite were the scones)! High Tea at home during COVID is a fantastic way to keep busy whilst staying home. I would highly recommend the Gables...I know i will be back again. Thanks for a delicious experience.

Visiting The Gables for high tea on a recent Sunday was an amazing experience. Set within beautiful grounds, the historic building is a joy to dine in. Celebrating a birthday with friends our group was greeted so warmly. As a vegan I was generously catered for with high tea treats that truly rivalled the on-menu offerings. There is absolutely nothing that could have been better from beginning to end with the service to the ambience and the provisions. I highly recommend The Gables.

I have attended many wonderful celebrations at the Gables over the years - birthdays, weddings, wine tastings - and have many fond memories of the warm attentive service provided by the events team. The historic home is a uniquely charming environment in which to relax with loved ones and the setting is breathtaking for memory-making photos. The easy inner city location and good parking are an added bonus. And timely maintenance is obviously a high priority, ensuring comfort and amenity. Definitely a beautiful location for celebrations of all kinds. xx

I attended my friend’s 50th birthday lunch at the Gables. We had exclusive use of the Peacock Room which is an absolutely stunning room and was perfect for the occasion. The food and service provided by the staff was exceptional and the whole day was very enjoyable. The house itself is stunning and off street parking made everything a lot easier.

Thank-you so much for making my sisters ‘Baby shower High tea’ so special! We all had a wonderful time y/day, the venue, our Peacock room, the setting, the service, the food was spectacular. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and spoke very highly of your beautiful venue. My sister Nella had THE BEST AFTEROON, so thank-you!
A special thanks to you all, from my very first contact over the phone, and numerous emails back & forth, in particular with the special dietary requirements, you made everything/the organising so easy for me and am so grateful. I will definitely do a proper review online, but just wanted to touch base with you first personally.
I look forward to coming back and keeping you in mind for any future events.

Thank you for making my 70th birthday celebration such a special event for me at The Gables- The venue is gorgeous and you had everything looking beautiful including all the tea light candles lit throughout the area even for a daytime event.
The food was delicious with plenty of variety and choice and the wine list provided good variety with local wines listed. All my guests were most impressed and the plated selection of cakes for the table was so appropriate for the large group. What a lovely and unexpected surprise to have cake and lighted candle also brought to the table!
I especially thank Michelle for looking after all of us so well and ensuring everything ran smoothly with drinks, food and special requests. Her friendliness and efficiency was appreciated and commented on by all my guests. Please pass on my sincere thanks to her.
Thirty nine years ago I had my wedding reception at The Gables and have returned since for lunch and High Tea and the standard of excellence has always been maintained. I was delighted to celebrate with friends at this beautiful venue. Thank you.

We have had incredible feedback from many of the attendees including a number of board members. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed seeing the venue. Every member of your team was fantastic and constantly on the ball with our requests (even those requests that were extremely last minute). Charmaine HartThank you so much for organising for our group to enjoy High Tea on the occasion of my friend Valerie’s 70th birthday. Certainly The Gables and the gardens are looking elegant and beautiful, which was an added bonus for Valerie as she hadn’t been there before. Gosh! From the moment we arrived we were well looked after by your staff and wow the cake table on entry was a gourmet invitation to what was in-store for us. Really we all ate too much, and had to burn off just a bit of sugar after, of course the champagne has only healing benefits.
