An exclusive, fully catered 5-hour event running from 12pm to 5pm on...

  • CUP DAY - Tuesday 3rd November
  • OAKS DAY - Thursday 5th November
  • STAKES DAY - Saturday 7th November

    Includes a race fare, indoor and outdoor race screenings, a race day sweep, and your choice of three seating areas. Plus, served to you over the course of the day, carpark-style: an unlimited beverage package which includes a French sparkling, and a tea & coffee cart. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

    You may choose a preferred seating area, whilst this area is not guaranteed we will try our best, the areas are:

    This event will continue in the event of light showers however if a poor weather forecast is predicted customers will receive a full refund. This decision will be made at the discretion of The Gables.

    From October to March, The Gables will be offering our Twilight Drinks outdoor event. Join us in our garden or on our sweeping verandah for an antipasto and cheese platter with a cocktail or drink of your choice.

    What's included

    Thank you for considering The Gables for your future conference, seminar or meeting. You will have the use of our superb recently redecorated front rooms which feature leadlight windows, open fireplaces and access to our sweeping verandah. The verandah makes a great break area in the warmer months. You will also be able to make use of our beautiful garden offering you a quiet peaceful enviroment. We have free off street parking for thirty- five cars.

    Included in room hire: wireless internet connections , water jugs, mints, cordless microphone, lectern, whiteboard markers, whiteboard and pin board (120cm x 100cm).

    We will require a $1,100 deposit to confirm your booking. Final numbers are required 5 days prior to your function and payment is on invoice. A minimum of 10 people are required.

    House, Garden and Ballroom Hire $980
    ($1,300 without any catering)

    Funeral services may be held in our beautiful garden, which includes a music rotunda and a rose covered gazebo. If you would prefer to be indoors you may choose between our drawing room which includes an open fireplace and a conservatory, or our magnificent ballroom. ‘The Gables’ will set up either the garden or the house with chairs and fresh flower arrangements. Your service time is an hour. You are welcome to arrive early to set up.

We offer a fabulous selection of assorted sandwiches, beef burgundy pies, sausage rolls or mini quiches, scones with jam and cream and our chef’s selection of cakes or slices served with coffee and a selection of Twining’s tea

    Light Refreshments - One and a half hours $32.00 per person
    Beverages served on consumption

    Elegantly presented on our 100-year-old oak table and served by our professional staff. Selection of ribbon sandwiches, one savory pastry, freshly baked scones with jam and cream served with coffee and a selection of Twinings teas.

    The Supper Table - One and a half hours $46.00 per person
    Beverages served on consumption

    Elegantly presented on our one hundred-year-old oak table and served by our professional staff. Chef’s selection of cold meats, cheeses and antipasto, salt & pepper calamari, smoked salmon blini, pies and sausage rolls. Served with coffee, a selection of Twining’s teas and a petit four.

    Cocktail Celebration - Three Hours $68.00

    Unlimited standard beverages (not including sprites) and the chef’s selection of eight canapés are passed to your guests by our professional staff. “The Gables” has the most sensational set up for cocktail celebrations. Using our beautiful sweeping veranda and traditionally decorated front rooms which boast open fireplaces, stained glass windows and the original conservatory.

    French Style Bar Cart Service (weather permitting) $250.00

    Beverages served on consumption from our beautiful outdoor bar cart set up in our garden with some small tables and chairs.

    Full payment is required at the conclusion of your function. The Gables accepts cash, cheque or direct debit (we do not accept credit cards). All prices are inclusive of GST.
